Virovex

Virovex is a homeopathic medicine for the relief of the itching symptoms associated with shingles and herpes such as heat, dryness, intense and intolerable itching, burning, prickling and crawling sensations.

What is in Virovex?

Active Ingredients (in each tablet): Formica Rufa (Wood ant) 12X, Ledum palustre (Marsh tea) 30C, Petroleum rectificatum (Petroleum) 12X, Psoricum (Psorinum) 1M, Rhus toxidendron (Poison oak) 12X, Solanum dulcamara (Scarlet berry) 30C

Inactive Ingredients: Lactose & magnesium stearate

No added yeast, gluten, salt, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors.

How can the active ingredients in this product relieve the herpetic symptoms of itching, burning and prickling?

Dulcamara homeopathic provings show that it is effective for itching, moist eruptions associated with herpes zoster and manifesting on the face, genitals and hands.

Formica Rufa is highly indicated for redness, itching and burning.

Ledum Paulstre has provings for dry itching and burning herpetic eruptions on the face, especially around the nose and mouth. It is also indicated for intense burning and stinging itching at night time, made worse by warmth.

Petroleum is a remedy for burning pain, itching and redness in the genitals, perineum and urethra. It is also able to alleviate crawling, itching sensations.

Rhus Toxicodendron is indicated for itching all over the body and in particular, the scrotum. It relieves stinging, tingling, burning, and itching of the skin.

Psorinum also alleviates intense itching skin symptoms which are often painful and burning and are worse at night. May parts of the body where itching like this occurs are helped by this active – fingers, palms, elbows, behind knees, insteps, face and head.

The dosage for Virovex

Adults & children over 12 years: 1 tablet sucked or chewed 2-3 times daily. If symptoms persist consult a health care practitioner. Take between meals.

What can you do to help relieve the itching and burning of herpes?

• Try and get plenty of rest and sleep
• Increase your intake of Vitamin B
• Increase foods and supplements that improve your immune system
• Try to keep high calorie foods and drinks to a minimum
• Reduce alcohol intake

Can I take Virovex with other medications?

This medication can be taken with other medications and is a good support when trying to overcome cold and flu symptoms. If you have symptoms which are of concern consult your doctor or health care practitioner

What happens if my symptoms get Worse?

Sometimes when there is a re-balancing of the body taking place an aggravation or ‘die-back’ may occur. This is the clearing out of toxins from the body and it is a desirable effect. The symptoms for this can be flu-like or a rash may appear. If this happens it is best to stop the medication, drink plenty of water and wait for the symptoms to go. This may take a few days. When they have cleared it is safe to start the medication again.
