Active Ingredients (in each tablet): - Atropa bella-donna (Belladonna) 1M, Lachesis mutus (Bushmaster) 30C, Streptococcus pyogenes (Streptococcin) 1M

Inactive Ingredients: Lactose & magnesium stearate

How can the active ingredients in Sore Throat Forte relieve sore throat symptoms?

Belladonna is a well –known homeopathic anti-inflammatory and in this medication it is compounded at a high potency which means that it has a stronger anti-inflammatory effect. It relieves red, dry, angry-looking, congestion in the throat including tonsillitis. Other symptoms include difficulty in swallowing, a feeling of constriction and spasms in the throat.

Streptococcinum the use of this active is based on the ‘like cures like’ principle of homoeopathy and it is indicated for severe and repeated tonsillitis. The high potency used for the active also gives it a very strong effect.

Lachesis is indicated for a chronic sore throat, with difficult swallowing, worse for the slightest pressure and the larynx is painful to touch.

The dosage for Sore Throat Forte

Adults & children over 12 years: 1 tablet sucked and chewed every 15-20 minutes for 3 doses, then one dose (tablet) 2-3 times daily for up to 14 days. Take between meals.

Can I take Sore Throat Forte with other medications?

This medication can be taken with other medications and is a good support when trying to overcome cold and flu symptoms. If you have symptoms which are of concern consult your doctor or health care practitioner.

What happens if my symptoms get Worse?
Sometimes when there is a re-balancing of the body taking place an aggravation or ‘die-back’ may occur. This is the clearing out of toxins from the body and it is a desirable effect. The symptoms for this can be flu-like or a rash may appear. If this happens it is best to stop the medication, drink plenty of water and wait for the symptoms to go. This may take a few days. When they have cleared it is safe to start the medication again.
